Naso: naso rotondo, si avverte l’alcol. La torba è presente, più che nelle recenti edizioni, poi abbiamo aria di mare, salsedine, ed agrumi, limone, cedro e lime. Ricorda da vicino qualche Lagavulin 12 per esempio. C’è anche una discreta liquirizia. Gomma da masticare. Pepe bianco ed altre spezie, molto ben amalgamate. Si rinfresca con il tempo.
Gusto: imbocco pungente, poi spezie sulla lingua. Pepe nero, paprika, cannella, poi la torba ci avvolge e prosegue. Gomma bruciata, aria di mare, sale quanto basta, agrumi molto raffinati, limone e lime. Intenso e non troppo variegato, benchè ottimo. Si addolcisce dopo qualche secondo.
Finale: lungo, abbiamo la torba, gli agrumi di cui sopra, oltre ad una sensazione di freschezza e pulizia.
Commento: cosa aspettarsi da questi mostri? Il meglio di Islay, anche qui siamo su livelli molto alti e possiamo concederci di pensare al voto. Rigorosamente senza acqua.

Nose: nose rounded, there is alcohol. Peat is present, more than in recent editions, then we have sea air, salt and citrus, lemon, citron and lime. Closely resembles some Lagavulin 12, for example. There is also liquorice. Chewing gum. White pepper and other spices, very well mixed. It cools with time.
Mouth: pungent mouth, then spices on the tongue. Black pepper, paprika, cinnamom, the peat surrounds us and goes on. Burning rubber, sea air, salt, very refined citruses, lemon and lime. Intense and not too varied, but really good. After a while it becomes sweeter.
Finish: long, we have the peat, citruses and a feeling of freshness and cleanliness.
