Naso: maltoso, non domo benchè abbia 20 lunghi anni, abbiamo della frutta rossa, fragola ed amarena, poi frutta gialla, limone, ed agrumi, marmellata di arancia. C’è anche qualche spezia, pepe bianco soprattutto. Spezie del legno. Necessita di tempo per dare il meglio. Dopo un po’ pesca ed albicocca.
Gusto: imbocco caldo ed avvolgente, una bella sinfonia di frutta gialla e rossa. Biscotti ai cereali, un filo di cacao ma soprattutto frutta: mela, pera, albicocca in un continuum abbastanza divertente da esaminare. Anche fragole e pesche. Qualche spezia circonda la frutta.
Finale: non molto lungo, dolcezza fruttata, cacao, spezie. Cola.
Commento: siamo di fronte all’ennesimo whisky onesto ed accessibile soprattutto per le new entry del malto. Niente di pirotecnico, solo un buon malto invecchiato il giusto da godersi in questa lunga estate. Beh insomma…

Nose: malty, not unbowed by 20 long years, we have red fruit, strawberry and cherry, then yellow fruit, lemon, and citrus, like orange jam. There is also some spices, white pepper. Spices wood. Needs time to give its best. After a while peach and apricot.
Mouth: warm and enveloping, a beautiful symphony of red and yellow fruit. Cereal biscuits, some cocoa but mostly fruit: apple, pear, apricot in a continuum quite fun. Even strawberry and peach. Some spices surround the fruit.
Finish: not very long, fruity sweetness, cocoa, spices, cola.
Overall: we are facing another whisky honest and simple, especiallu for the new entries of malt. No fireworks here, just a good old malt old enough to enjoy it in this long summer. Well well…
