Glenturret 1995/2014 (Angelshare.it, 2014, 52%)
Naso: malto fruttato e maltoso, biscotti ai cereali, mela e pera, qualcosa di rosso ma sono sfumature. Ci sono anche degli agrumi, arancia candita per esempio. Note di fiori di campo, quasi farmy, pesca ed albicocca dopo un po’. Un malto pulito e gradevole. Vaniglia e burro.
Gusto: estremamente coerente con il naso, qui abbiamo delle belle spezie sulla punta della lingua, pepe nero e cardamomo, poi un malto fruttato, brioche alla marmellata, frutta gialla in grande abbondanza. La gradazione scelta è ottima e dona un bel carattere “punchy” al malto. Ancora spezie verso il finale.
Finale: frutta gialla, mela e pera, spezie.
Commento: una bella selezione per la parte degli angeli più italiana del mondo (e ce lo invidiano mi sa). Gradazione assolutamente consona ed un malto pulito ed educato, soprattutto al naso. Valutiamo positivamente.

Glenturret 2006/2015 (Angelshare.it, 2015, 46%)
Naso: rispetto al suo corrispettivo maggiorenne qui siamo su territori in sherry, quindi c’è molta più frutta rossa. Non è esagerata e si contende il naso con due note principali. Abbiamo un bel farmy, gradevole e non troppo rozzo, ed una bella nota di cioccolato, al latte principalmente.
Gusto: qui colpiscono delle spezie sulla punta della lingua, pepe bianco in particolare, poi un bel cioccolato al latte e la nota farmy di cui sopra, qui ancora più addomesticata. Concludono dei frutti rossi, ciliegia, amarena ed anche pesca sciroppata. Al secondo assaggio è chiaramente più rotondo e masticabile.
Finale: non troppo lungo, frutta rossa, cacao zuccherato, spezie.
Commento: un’altra buona selezione direi, qui siamo su posizioni diverse ma ugualmente affascinanti, un malto semplice e di qualità, senza troppi sforzi. Bravo Davide!

Nose: fruity and malty, cereal biscuits, apple and pear, something red. There are also citrus fruits, candied oranges for example. Notes of wildflowers, almost farmy, peach and apricots after a while. A clean and pleasant malt. Vanilla and butter.
Mouth: highly similar with the nose, here we have some nice spices on the tip of the tongue, black pepper and cardamom, then a fruity malt, croissants with jam, yellow fruits. The alcohol level is great and gives us a nice punchy malt. Spices to the final.
Finish: yellow fruit, apple and pear, spices.
Overall: nice selection for the Italian Angel’s Share (in the world they envy us). Absolutely consonant alcohol and a malt rich, clean and polite, especially the nose. Welcome!

Glenturret 2006/2015 (Angelshare.it, 2015, 46%)
Nose: here we are in sherry territories, then there is much more red fruit.It is not exaggerated and contends his nose with two main notes. We have a nice farmy, pleasant and not too rough, and a nice hint of chocolate, milk mainly.
Mouth: here we have spices on the tip of the tongue, white pepper, then a nice milk chocolate and farmy notes as above, here even more domesticated. It ends with red fruits, cherry, black cherry and also peaches syrup. After a while is more rounded and chewy.
Finish: not too long, red fruit, sweetened cocoa, spices.
Overall: another good selection, here we are on different positions but equally fascinating, a malt quality and simple, without too much effort. Bravo Davide!
